Monaco Weather falls squarely within the Mediterranean type of climate. Which is quite understandable given the city-state’s location in Southern Western Europe, the azure waters of the Mediterranean living their indelible marks not only on Monaco Weather patterns, but also on its reputation as one of the world’s most picturesque holiday destinations.

Weather in Monaco is predominantly mild, its patterns remaining pleasant and warm almost throughout the year. With and abundant supply of sunshine as its main characteristic (the city enjoys an amazing 300 sun filled days per year) Monaco Weather is hot during the long summer season, becoming mild when winter sets in.

Despite the fine disposition usually associated with weather in Monaco during the summer season, cool and rainy spells can often interrupt proceedings. Tempered by constant sea breezes, summer afternoons in Monaco are significantly cooler than the mornings that precede them, with mercury very rarely soaring higher than 30 °C. During the same period the nights are predominantly mild, their patterns being a direct result of the temperature of the sea that can usually be expected to remain at rather high levels.

If you are planning on visiting Monaco, it’s advisable to do so during either spring or autumn. While August is generally humid, Monaco Weather is at its finest during spring and autumn, the only downside being that a strong wind known as la Mistral can make an appearance at any given time during spring and winter. In sharp contrast to conditions found in Northern Europe, winter weather in Monaco is almost exclusively mild, with little rainfall and almost no frost or snowfall.
